2009: indeed a year of truth, trust and challenge

At the end of a turbulent year, this year's FIE in Frankfurt took place in an atmosphere filled with opportunities. We welcomed a high number of visitors, both from procurement and NPD disciplines, from both major global food companies and medium-sized regional companies. Next to the expected interest in value engineering projects, we were positively surprised by the large interest in our propositions.

New jerry can to comply with local labour regulations on weight

In 2010 SVZ is introducing a new type of packaging: the current 15kg and 28kg jerry cans will be replaced by a 20kg jerry can for the juice concentrates and compounds. The new jerry can has a number of advantages over the existing jerry cans.

The pumpkin portfolio

Pumpkins are often associated with autumn and wintertime, with falling leafs, dropping temperatures, Halloween and winter dishes. But don’t overlook the healthy aspects of the pumpkin. It is full of beta-carotene, Vitamin A & C, alpha-carotene, zinc and lutein, and it is even promoted in certain recent studies that it nourishes your skin. Recently SVZ has broadened its pumpkin portfolio; it is now available in IQF, as an aseptic puree and as juice concentrate.
