New jerry can to comply with local labour regulations on weight

In 2010 SVZ is introducing a new type of packaging: the current 15kg and 28kg jerry cans will be replaced by a 20kg jerry can for the juice concentrates and compounds. The new jerry can has a number of advantages over the existing jerry cans.

The benefits of the 20kg jerry can:

Complying with local labour regulations regarding maximum lifting/carrying weight
Better stackability and more transport-stability due to:
- embedded lid and grip/handle
- moulded profile on the top and the bottom
Logistic advantage: more kgs on a pallet: saves space

Volume -> 20 litres
Empty weight -> 800 grammes
Reinforced corners
Dimensions -> (length x width x height in mm) 292 x 246 x 389
Closure type (colour black): DIN 61
Material: High Density Polyethylene (HDPE)

Palletisation:

Block pallets: 3 layers of 17 jerry cans each = 51 jerry cans x 20 kg = 1020kgs.
