The trading company A. Zwanenburg is founded in Haarlem (Holland). In the beginning of the 20th century the company moves to Rotterdam.

During the bombing of Rotterdam in 1940 (World War II) the building is completely destroyed. A. Zwanenburg moves to Zwijndrecht where an old glass factory is refurbished. |

The Dutch companies Spyer and Van der Vijver, both active in silverskin onions and pickles, merge. The new company SBV is located in Rijnsburg. |

A. Zwanenburg acquires Vinks Conserven in Dodewaard, a producer of apple juice in bottles. SVZ produces fruit and vegetable concentrates, compounds and aseptic purees in this factory.

SBV moves from Rijnsburg to Baarland where a new factory is built. Currently this is the factory where SVZ has her production of silverskin onions and pickles. |

A. Zwanenburg moves from Zwijndrecht to Etten-Leur, where a new factory is constructed. Apart from silverskin onions and sulphited fruit, which are the only industrial activities, the main activity is the production of consumer products (jams, juices, canned and bottled pickles). |
