Bakery applications with Verifruit®

 

In the bakery industry Verifruit® can be a true solution in order to develop a nice tasting, healthy image bakery product. Fruits are often used because of their healthy image and their healthy taste.

 

To give your product real fruit identity you want your product to have recognizable, irregular shaped, great tasting fruit pieces. Verifruit® is the solution, since it has the required shelf life that can be used in an industrial production without losing its appearance of real fruit. Due its vibrant natural colour, this fruit ingredient gives you superb visuals!

  • Verifruit® in syrup and drained are easy to dose in production, and are semi bake stable. Also, for example in blueberry muffins, the Verifruit® fruit pieces stand out against the white batter as bleeding is minimal.
  • Verifruit® is also still soft when frozen so very suitable for frozen pastries. No more comments on frozen icy fruit pieces in your product. Plus, your product will defrost earlier as IQF tents to be longest ingredient to defrost in a pie.
  • SVZ offers a wide range of different fruits which until now were not available in a shelf life stable, dried variety. In the Verifruit® range even sensitive fruits like dried sour cherries, strawberries and blackcurrants are available. This fruit ingredient still has a nice firm, but soft bite since the fruits are first infused with sugar before they are dried. The quality of your product will be boosted if you use real dried fruits instead of raisins.
  • Verifruit® dried apple infused allows you to claim 100% fruit on your packaging.
