SVZ’s prominent attendance at World Juice Conference 2011 in Madrid
Early October SVZ attended the World Juice Conference 2011 in Madrid. The World Juice Conference is a conference where worldwide juice (concentrate) producers and bottling companies meet, to discuss the latest market developments and harvest prognoses for fruit.

SVZ sells Verifruit® business to Italcanditi Vitalfood
SVZ and Italcanditi Vitalfood have reached an agreement on the sale of SVZ’s Verifruit® business. The announced divestment of Verifruit® early 2011 has resulted in an agreement that comprises the transfer of the Verifruit® production technology, know-how and registered trade name to Italcanditi Vitalfood as per 31 October 2011.

Incoterms 2010
Due to an ever increasing international climate, the Incoterms have been regularly updated since their creation in 1936. Incoterms 2010 came into effect January 2011. As of June 2011, SVZ in Europe is applying the general Incoterms 2010. This way, SVZ applies the most up to date Incoterms. We are pleased to announce that the renewed "Fruit & Vegetable Files” (abbreviated F&V Files) functionality is now available at
www.svz.com. In the Fruit & Vegetable Files you will find an overview of the most important fruits and vegetables in our range, the so-called 'core products', whereby SVZ has control over the chain.

Aseptic expansion of SVZ gains traction in North America
SVZ-USA’s new aseptic line installation is completed. Production of a variety of fruits from the 2011 harvest season is already underway. SVZ will work with FDA over the summer on low acid filing and certification of the new line, after which vegetable processing will begin. Once FDA certified, SVZ will begin servicing the market with aseptic vegetable ingredients, September through January. All contracted vegetable crops are planted in Washington State, in close proximity to the factory.
