| SVZ sells Verifruit® business to Italcanditi Vitalfood |

The divestment of Verifruit® is part of SVZ’s strategic choice to focus on fruit and vegetable purees, concentrates and compounds. SVZ is a global producer of liquid fruit and vegetable ingredients and supplies its products to the world’s leading food and beverage companies.
Both parties believe that Italcanditi Vitalfood will be able to successfully grow the Verifruit® business. Italcanditi Vitalfood is European leader in the production of preparations for confectionery, bakery, dairy and ice cream industries. Particularly, Italcanditi Vitalfood has more than 20 years experience in fruit processing for production of semi-candied fruit. Both organisations are arranging all details of the transfer in the coming weeks. Customers of Verifruit® will be contacted by SVZ and Italcanditi Vitalfood representatives in due time.
Existing contracts for Verifruit® will still be supplied by SVZ until their end date.
